Cwm Bye & Praise Event

On Saturday 23 rd July all those with a heart for agriculture and rural life in Wales are invited to a very special gathering at Middle Park, Powis Castle to praise God and pray for our farmers and their families.

Farmers are facing enormous challenges and huge changes right now particularly in terms of the results of the EU Membership referendum, volatile prices, escalating costs and bovine TB.  All this makes for an uncertain future and yet there is so much to be thankful for.  This event is an opportunity to gives thanks and praise to our Creator God, to pray for one another, for TB eradication and for the future of farming in Wales – in a beautiful and inspirational setting.

Praise and worship with a number of  “old favourite” hymns will be followed by guest speaker Nigel Butler, Christian farmer from Berkshire.  Nigel has an all grass farm and has raised many fatstock winners.  He will share inspirational accounts of how the Lord has helped him over the years in many different circumstances in his lifetime of farming.  There will also be a time for prayer.

All age groups are very welcome to this event.  There will be fun and games for the children before the worship starts, and there will be a barbecue afterwards.  The gathering will take place in a marquee, so the weather will not affect our plans!
